Volunteer Honor Code
Every person who joins this chapter agrees to be held to these standards, and so does the organization itself.
Article I, Honesty Above All
I will be truthful in everything I do within Youth in Action. I will not misrepresent this organization, misuse funds or resources, or put my own interests ahead of the people we serve.
Article II, Respect & Dignity
I will treat every person I encounter, whether a beneficiary, a fellow volunteer, a partner, or a community member, with the basic respect and decency they deserve. I will not capture or share anything that trades on someone's vulnerability for attention.
Article III, Accountability
I follow through on what I commit to. If I sign up for a drive, I show up. If I handle money, I account for every rupee. If I make a mistake, I acknowledge it and correct it.
Article IV, Confidentiality
I will handle the personal information and private circumstances of the people we work with carefully and discreetly. Their stories belong to them, not to our platforms.
Article V, The Work Comes First
I am here to help people, not to build a following, add a line to a resume, or be seen doing good. The work comes first. Recognition comes last, if at all.
