Our Story

About Youth in Action

Started by students in Lahore who saw a problem nearby and decided to do something about it, honestly and together.

Youth in Action, Chapter Lahore was founded by university students who saw the gap between comfort and hardship in their own neighbourhoods and chose not to look away. They started not with a strategy deck, but with a ration box and a handful of willing hands.

Initially, it began as a small food drive in the streets of the Old City and has since grown into a structured chapter working across six areas of welfare, from education and health to emergency response and environmental care.

As a chapter, we are not a traditional NGO. We are a group of young people who believe that caring without doing is not enough, and that doing without honesty is dangerous. Every rupee we collect is recorded. Every drive we run is documented. Every commitment we make, we follow through on.

Radical Transparency

Our finances, decisions, and records are open. We believe trust can only be earned, not claimed, and visibility is how we earn it.

Youth Sovereignty

This chapter is led by young people, built by them, and answerable to them. Youth aren't just included here, they run it.

Substance Over Appearance

We measure what we actually do, not how it looks. Quiet, consistent work matters more to us than visible performance.
